BloxBot vs Claude Code, Cursor and Codex
Facts checked November 5, 2026 against Claude Code, Cursor and Codex's own pages. Written by the BloxBot team, so we've tried hard to be fair.
The short answer
If you already live in Claude Code, Cursor or Codex and manage your game as files with Script Sync and Git, connecting them to Studio's MCP is a great setup. BloxBot is for creators who want a Roblox-specific workspace: a live Explorer, playtest plans, Blender and every model in one place, free.
About Claude Code, Cursor and Codex
Roblox Studio's built-in MCP server has Quick Connect for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex CLI, Cursor, Gemini CLI, VS Code and Antigravity, and Roblox's own coding-harness guide pairs it with Script Sync and Git. These are general-purpose coding agents you may already pay for, and their vendors officially support using your plan with them.
BloxBot is a free, open-source desktop AI agent for Roblox Studio. It connects any model, including a Claude or ChatGPT plan, to Roblox's official Studio MCP server, and adds a live Explorer, playtest plans and, from version 0.15, one-click Blender 3D modeling.
Looking for a Claude Code, Cursor and Codex alternative?
Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Antigravity can all connect to Roblox Studio's MCP with Quick Connect. BloxBot uses the same MCP but is built for Roblox: a live Explorer, playtest plans, Blender and any model. When each makes sense.
