Make 3D models for Roblox with AI in Blender

November 5, 2026

Short version: BloxBot 0.15 adds a 3D tools tab. One click installs Blender and Blender's official MCP server, so the AI agent can build models in Blender. The model shows up in your chat with a preview you can turn. Once your place is published and you've turned on Studio's permissions, one more click uploads it to Roblox and adds it to your place through Studio. No API key, no exporting by hand, no switching between three apps.

Roblox Studio can already generate meshes from a prompt, which we covered in Studio's mesh generation. Blender gives the agent a different tool: a full 3D program it can script. That suits props with exact dimensions, low-poly sets in a consistent style, and anything you want to tweak by hand afterwards. It's the same kind of Blender pipeline the creator of the GPT-6 Astra kart racer wired up by hand, now set up for you.

Step 1: set up Blender

  1. Open Settings → 3D tools in BloxBot 0.15 or later.
  2. Click Set up Blender. BloxBot downloads a pinned Blender (5.2) and uv, checks each file's hash, and installs the official add-on and MCP server into its own folder. It's about 400 MB to download and 1.1 GB installed.
  3. It connects without a restart. Click Open when you want the AI to make a model.

Your own Blender, if you have one, is left alone. Remove takes BloxBot's copy and everything it installed away. One thing to know: Blender runs code the AI writes on your computer, so save other Blender work first.

Step 2: ask for a model

Describe it like you would to a 3D artist, with the facts that matter in Roblox:

When the reply links the exported file, BloxBot shows a card with a 3D preview drawn from the file itself, so what you check is exactly what would go up.

Step 3: upload it with one click

This is the part that usually breaks the flow. BloxBot builds on Studio MCP's Open Cloud access: Studio handles the sign-in, so there's no Open Cloud API key to create. The model card follows the state of your place and always shows the very next thing to click:

Upload also waits for you to look at the model first. If the preview can't draw a file, the button stays off until you confirm you opened it and checked it yourself.

The checklist ticks itself off while you change settings in Studio, and a notification tells you when everything is on.

Step 4: fix the import

Imported models often arrive at the wrong scale, rotated, or unanchored. Roblox's own import skill says so. Once the model is in your place, one button asks the AI to follow that skill's check-and-repair steps, without uploading again. Then open the Explorer to nudge its position or anchor it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Can AI make 3D models for my Roblox game?

Yes. In BloxBot 0.15, set up Blender from Settings → 3D tools with one click. The AI agent then builds models in Blender through Blender's official MCP server, and BloxBot shows the exported FBX or GLB in the chat with a 3D preview you can turn.

How do I upload an AI-made model to Roblox?

Check the model's preview, then click Upload to Roblox on its card in the chat. BloxBot uploads it through Roblox Studio's own Open Cloud access, so there's no API key to create, and adds it to your place once Roblox approves it. The place has to be published, and you turn on what's allowed once in Studio's MCP Permissions; a checklist on the card walks you through it.

Does BloxBot change my existing Blender installation?

No. It downloads a pinned Blender, checks each file's hash, and installs it with the official add-on and MCP server inside BloxBot's own folder. Remove in Settings → 3D tools takes all of it away. It's about 400 MB to download and 1.1 GB installed.

Is Blender in BloxBot free?

Yes. Blender is free and open source, and BloxBot earns nothing from setting it up. You only pay for the AI model you use, or nothing if you use the free models.

Is it safe to let an AI upload to my Roblox account?

BloxBot always asks before Studio's upload_image and open_cloud_invoke tools act on your account, with no Always allow option, because Roblox holds you responsible for what they do. Nothing leaves your computer until you press Upload, the same file is never sent twice, and a model stays out of your place until Roblox approves it.
